$ There was a good alLondiuico lit the annual meeting when the following oilicei's were elected: — President, Mrs. H. 11. Thompson; treasuiur, Mrs. Benfell; committee, Mes(tames Alsop, Bennett, Diamond, Prestidge, Roberts, Sandlant, Scanno, 1, Ti'een and Young. The annual report showed .that attendance had been well maintained, good programmes provided, and members had done a great deal of war work, one member having knitted 17 3 articles to date, many of these made from used garments. Numerous gopds have been kmt.e for the Merchant Service (countrywomen's special work). A letter of thanks for a parcel was received from a soldier at Maadi camp. To the Institute at Rarotonga a collection of items for use in the programmes had been forwarded.. Points prizes for year was won by (.a) Mrs Jorgenson (trophy donated by Mrs. Thompsonj ; (b) Mrs Thompson. Floral tributes were presented to the retiring president, Miss Maddever, and Mrs Jorgenson assistant secretary, as well as to the tellers, Mrs Waite and Mrs Stevens.
