TOWNSWOMEN'S GUILD
Mrs Benstead presided at (lie iirsi. meeting of the year which was held in the U.S.A. Rooms on Tuesday last. ' Several letters of appreciation were read from sons ol' members serving overseas for parcels received from the "Guild. Miss N. Law, National General Secretary Y.W.C.A., gave a most interesting address on the work of flu? Y.W.C.A. abroad. especially with the nurses and forces in the Middle East; also the evacuation of its members from Singapore. The best, flower in the garden com petition was won by Mrs Coker with Mrs Watson 2nd. The War Services stall was well slocked and good business resulled.
