, Advice has been received of the death, in Canada, of Mr. 3. W. Reade,-who was for many years a resident of Lower Hutt. Mr. Reade, who lived inr Agllonby Street, was well known for the after-church gramophone'recitals he held. in. the' grounds of his home when gramophones first came into use in New Zealand. He is survived by his widow and two daughters. A third daughter predeceased him. Mrs. Reade's present address is care of her daugh- : ' ter, Mrs. P. Brodie (formerly.
