HUTT RECLAMATION
" ♦ DELAY IN ROADING PLAN Dissatisfaction was expressed by members of the Hutt River Board on Thursday at the delay of the l Pub£s Works Department in submitting plans for the roading of reclamation at the Hutt Estuary. was pointed out by Mr. J. W. Andrews that it was now three years since the question was opened. The first reason was said to have been the wait occasioned by the preparation of the town planning of Hutt Valley. That report ancient history and yet no settled plan was - available. The "ooafd was being pressed by industrial"*firms for the terms on which it would sell or lease its property.
A reply received by the board ygtffgjrday intimated that the present delay was caused by the failure of the Railway Department to indicate a site for a station in the area. The board decided to press for ap early decision.
