I TM*fcd-' "friends that the Younger Sfct 50/50 dance will not be held this week, also the ladies' card evening on Wednesday, 27th instant, 1 -will be postponed. It has been considered necessary not to,, hold these popular functions owing to the annual ball being held on Friday, 29th. The resumption of these activities will be advertised in next peek's issue of this paper.
The final arrangements for the ball are now. completed, and intending patrons are assured of a most brilliant show. Owing to the paper shortage It has been decided not to issue invitations this year, but a hearty welcome is extended to our wide circle of friendß. Representatives of the fighting forces have signified their intention of being present, and a reduced rate is extended to all members of the services in uniform.
The committee desires all returned soldiers to wear decorations, and would be pleased If all gentlemen would wear evening dress or dark lounge suits. ,
