LOCAL GIRIj CHOSEN Miss Yolande Hunter, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. S. Hunter, Penrose Street, is among the 30 girls of the Women's War Service Auxiliary chosen to go to the Middle East -to help in the New Zealand Forces' Club and similar institutions. She has been a keen member of the W.W.S.A. since its inauguration, and is leader of the Lower Hutt Cycling and Signalling Corps. She was educated at the Hutt Valley High School, where she took a prominent part in sporting activities. Since leaving school she has taken an active interest in the Old Pupils' Association, and has been a committee member for several years. Tennis and badminton are her main sporting activities, and she is engaged in clerical work for Metiers (N.Z.), Ltd., Lower Hutt.
