(iOVEKNOR-GENEKAL TO OPEN SHOW The Hutt Valley Horticultural {Society's Spring Show, Which is tp take place on 171 h and 18th September, is to Be officially opened by Hi».Excellency the Governor-General, &ir * Cyril Newall. Lady Newall will accompany His Excellency on the occasion of his first official visit to Lower Hull City. The Vice-Regal party will arrive at the Society's Hall, Laings Road, at 3 p.iu., on the first day of the Show. Entries of narcissi harp' been promised from leading jfowers throughout the North Island, <md a first class display of cyclamen |s assured. The schedule, which will be issued shortly, provides for a class for hand-knitted socks, gloves, mittens, and balaclavas, which must be t6 a regulation Army, Navy, ®r Air Force pattern. Generous prized in,this class have been donated by the proprietor of the Self Help Stores.
