PRE-WEDDING DANCE
$ Mrs: A. J. Webster entertained a ' large number of friends at a prewedding dance which took the form of a gift evening for Miss Sylvia Beaumont. The hostess was in a graceful frock of reseder green silk crepe figured in silver ,and a bolero of black amethyst spotted net. Miss Beaumont's frock was of turquoise blue silk, the corsage being edged with fur. Miss Beaumont received a large number of useful gifts. Mrs. Cronin played for the dancing, and vocal items were given by Mr. M. Mitchell and Mr. Jesmond Earle, with Mrs. N. fioyd at the piano. Among the guests were Mrs. V. A. Beaumont, Mr. and Mrs. W. Rising, Mr. and Mrs. B. Ellsmore, Mr. and Mrs. E. Semino, Mr. and Mrs. M. Boyd, Mr. and Mrs. A. Friis, Mr. and Mrs. Friis, Mr. and Mrs. S. Percival, Mr. and Mrs. B. Howe, Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Williams, Mrs. Harte, Mr. and Mrs. Wilson, Mr. and Mrs. Healds, Mr. and Mrs. Mitchell, and Mrs. McCarthy, Misses Iris Gordon, Edith Hubbard, Ray Inglis, Joan McCarthy and Marie Ryan, Messrs. A. J. Webster, J. McCarthy, J. Gorrie, C. Scales, J. Blake; D. Egglington, M. Mitchell, Love and Ryan.
