KINDERGARTEN BENEFIT.
There was a large audience at Prince Edward 1 Theatre, Wobum, on Wednesday evening last week, when an excel* lent, variety concert was presented in aid of the Lower Hutt Tree Kindergarten. The programme included vocal, instrumental, dancing, and humorous numbers. The items were: Overture, Jim Bolton's band; ballroom scene, Eva Draper's [pupils; song, Mary JepsotlJ huinorcus number, J. Evans; tap dance. Heather Wright; Hawaiian songs, Mona and Tipi Love; saxophone sole, Hugh Bolton; ventriloquist, C. Butridge; tenor solo, Mr. Paves; acrobatic routine, Heather Wright; song, Alma Milward; Hawaiian songs, Mona and Tipi Love; humorous item, J. Evans; tenor solo, Mr. Payes; eccentric routine, Heather Wright; song, Mary Jepson; saxophone solo, Hugh Bolton, song, Alma Milward; comedy routine, Heather Wright, instrumental item, Bolton's band. The kindergarten funds will appreciably ! benefit as a result.
