KNOX LADIES' GUILD.

The monthly meeting of Ivuox L i-iics Guild was held last Thursday. In tlih absence of ilrs. Wilson, Mrs Micky I)resided and extended u welcome to between -10 and 50 ladies. After the usual business, afternoon tea was dispensed by the hostesse, followed by a most interesting aud instructive demon* tration by Miss Marion Todd of ike Freda Shaw Studio, Wellington, on Physical Culture, and a talk on <ii3t. The rhythmic relaxing exercises, dovoid of all jerks, displayed how wonderfully beneficial they are to the general health and how important it a to train children from the very beginning to walk and hold themselves correctly, and how the most simple exercises correctly and regularly done, means so much, no matter what age. The h)C* turer herself, being a splendid example of all her precepts inspired all by her splendid physique. Mrs Maeky expressed the thanks of all to Miss Todd for the most instructive and unique afternoon and hoped that perhaps on somo future occasion to have the privilege of another visit from Miss Todd. A bo iquct of autumn flowers and berries Wf.s presented to Miss Todd, which brought to a close a very enjoyable afternoon.
