HUTT VALLEY LIEDERTAFEL
On Thursday, August 24th at 8 p.m the Hutt Valley Liedertafel mill give their first concert of the 1933-34 season, in (St. James's Hall, Woburn Road. Mr Paul Vinogradoff the celebrated pianist has been engaged for this concert, arid will be heard in some very fine numbers; also Miss Ngaire €oster the well known Wellington soprano. The Choir under the conductorship of Mr Harry E. Brutfey has put in some very hard work in preparation for this concert, and it is considered by those who have had the privilege of hearing the Choir at practice, to be I the finest programme so |far given. The accompanist will be Mi* Ron Horman. 'A fine dramatic number "The Hor^ aid,' ' by Elgar, donated to the society by Mr Roy Hill, will be~dnc number in particular worth hearing.. Worthy of mention is the "Evening Primrose. composed by that wellknown Hutt composer Mr Claude Haydon, Miis.Bac, speciailly cofposed and dedicated, to the Hutt Valley Liedertafel. , - As the society anticipate a large audience, owing to the special engagement of Mr Paul Vinogradoff, those desirous of hearing this concert would be wise to secure their tickets beforo the date from the hon. seeictary, Mr D.
