News haa been received by the last English mail that Mr. Geoff Jarman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jarman of Penroae Street, has succeeded in passing his test andy has been accepted for t>he Royal Air* Force. A description of his examination will be found elsewhere in this issue. Mr. C. B. Boston has returned home after an extended trip to the Old jSountry. Mrs. Maunder is the guest of Mrs Preston-Thomas of Hastings. Mrs Maulden has returned home afi»r visiting friends in Hawkes Bay. • The engagement is announced of Winifred Kathleen, younger daughter of Mr. and Mrs. I* T. Watkins, of the Hutt, to Kobert D. J. Ghris&otai Moffat, eldest son of Mr and Mrs Robert Moffat, of Grove Street, Kelburn.
