WAINUI-O-MATA WOMEN'S INSTITUTE.
The Wanui-o-anata Women had a very; interesting afternoon on Wednesday last in the Public Sail, the president, Mts. L. Wood, presiding. Members had the pleasure of listening to Mr. Matheson speaking on his joTariey and visit to Japan as a delegate to a conference on Pacific 'Relationship. Ise gpoke of the cities visited eh ronte, the Philippine Isles, Hong Kong, and then Japan with its wealth of lovely gardens and flowers, its customs and people—truly a wonderful
country.
Afternoon tea was served, after j-wMeh a demonstration wast given by Ttlrs. Boyes on wool rag making, wMch *t>royod very interesting to members. A. very hearty vote of thanks was asef'Tded Mrs. Boyes and Mr/ Mathespn ft jr the great pleasure the afternoon }v%(i given.
