The monthly, meeting of the combined committes of the Hutt Valley HoTiticultlral Society with, iaa attendance «f over 25 was presided over by the President, Mr. D. S. Patrick. The report and statement of accounts for the Spring Show were Tead and adopted. . «Q?he President congratulated tike Society on the very excellent display and said that it was a credit to the Hutt Valley. It was unfortunate that the weather was umfiavouraible, many people missing one of tie best shows in the history of the Society. " The weather also affected the credit balance, but memibers were very pleased with the result, being the first wot show for several years. It was reported that the prospects _for keen competition in the Pansy Sections were very promising. -•• Complimentary references were made in connection with the pt&iging of tihe afternoon tea arrangements and various stalls. A special vote of thanks was accord? Ed to the Ladies' Committees for cheerr ful and .valuable assistance.
