GRAND FANCY DRESS DANCE.
' ' VIGTOBY JUVENILE TENT.' 7 1.0.8. The proceeds of the Children's 1-a.ncy Dross dance which took place ai Moera Hall. on. Thursday last, go to the Xmas Tree ftmd. Th'c little folk turned up in lui'gc numbers and had a very merry time of it. Messrs Landsdowne, Hoarc, . Soames and Sutherland directed the dances and games and everything; went •with a swing from start to finish. Mr. and Mrs. J ; Hunt and Mr. and Mrs. Soames organised the dance and the supper .arrangements were in the eapaJble hands of Mrs. Crundwell. Mrs .Lavery, Mrs. Parry, Mrs Bankin and Mrs Hoare. A sweet and cake stall; plied a very brisk trade and was provided over by Mrs. Hughes and her daughter and the Misses Boyle. The 'following ladies comprised the eommit-|-tee:* Mrs-Burns, Mrs Abbott.. Mrs. ; and Mrs. Ward. Most original costuonCj girls: "No More Strikes," (June Griffin), first; boys, '' Glass With Care, " Boy Savery. Poster, girls, '' Capstan Cigarettes,;' (Jp-ye.e Perkinson), fii-st'; boysj ''Welfare Tea,'' (Bisley " Griffin), first. Babies' costumes (five years and uc/d-er) vßest Fancy Costume: girls,"Boseibud" (Joan Stev«nson), first; boys, "•SWagger," -(Jim Crumpibcll), first. Best Poster, "Aulseln-ook-'s Biscuits," (Marjory Hunt), first; boys, "Beckitt's Blue,'.' (Phillip Burns), first. After supper the prize-winners were presented toy the judges -with suitable gifts. During the evening Mt Soacnes very heartily thanked all those who had worked so hard to make the evening a •success and said' that there were too many to be mentioned individually. Tie ■pianisits for the evening were; Mr. Beck <and Mrs. Nieholls.
