A pleasant evening was given in the Tau Rau Hall recently "by Mrs M. Clout on the occasion of her son Kenneth coming of age. Mrs Clout received her guests in blue chiffon taffetti and blue satin bridge coat trimmed with £ur '. Her daughter Mrs Loekyer, -wore blue georgette and black sha.w?l; Miss Macj Kinnon, lemon and black, lace; Little ' Miss Joyce Clout, who danced two clever d:anees, wore pale pink crepe do c-hen c. Among the . guests we*e Miss A. Price, MivSeannell, Miss K. Kieene, Mr. X Hamilton; Mr and Ife G-. Oo&tigan, Mr. and Mrs J. J. I>bran, Misses F., W., and R. Doran, Mr. S. Doyle, ,Mt and Mrs H. V. Doran, Miss L. Smith, Mr and.Mrs H. : ilendle, Miss Gr. Hodges, Mr McMillan, Miss R. Rolles-i ton, Mr. L. Perkins, Mr and; Mrs Munga Miss I/. Munga, Mr: Cooper/ Mr and Mrs Loickyer,: Miss A. Munro, and Mr James vrti.6 presented Eenneth with a golden key on behialf of Mrs. Clout. Several toasts were honouTed and the evening was spent in games "and darieing, the music being supplied by the Hull Orchestra. A very enjoyaible evening was "brOught to a close toy the company -singing Auld Lang Syne.
