The Elite Comedy Company Appearing at St. James % Hall on Tuesday next, is a combination of iig!h-iclas3 entertainers and local talent, who aTe out to give the public something new. Miss Jennie. Sykes the producer, has had considerable experience on the stage in the Old Country musical comedies, plays etc., and.is a first-cfliass versatile entertainer. The Company appeared recently with great success in Wellington in a Musical Farce VThe Unexpected Guest," written by Mr. J. A. Shadlock. Mr. Shadloek is wellknown in the Hutt Valley as a comedian and lightning cartoonist, and is author of several plays of inherit; also the writer of quite a number of songs.

The^Mite Comedy Company is presenting "Dt. Nibbler's Pills," written by Mr. J. A.1 Shadloek, at the St. James's Hall on September/23rd, to be preeeeded by a higli-elass programme of Comedy Duos, Lightning Gartoons> Musical Items, etc., in aid of the BeUe-vu-e Lodge 1.0.0.F social funds. ■

The programme includes Mrs Louie Armstrong, a vocalist with a very fine sopTano voice, and also an actress of high standing; Mr. Llep Arnold will give a musical treat on his maramba; Miss Mona Carrick, contralto, is well known in the Hutt; Messrs B. and H. Potters, are musical exponents on the cello and violin and will be accompanied on the piano by Mis A. Locke and Mr. H. Haigh. Mr. W. Hamilton is a very clever character comedian who is assisted by Mxa Jennie Sykes in comedy duos.
