Tfae grounds were in excellent conditjdn for the Senior B and Junior Five-a-dide Tourney at Karori. All' games weste keenly contested and some good hockey . was witnessed. Hutt entered three teams. Tcnvn and Country games were played in the Senior B, Juniorand Third Grades last Saturday.

The Town attacked strongly from the opening bully and took play to the Country goal mouth, where they were awarded a corner; Country then, took charge play going to the other end/ only to be returned to mid-field. Town made strenuous efforts to score but it was not until a minute before the whistle that Cahill beat the Country goalie by finding the net from, a scramble in the circle. Country 3,. Town 1. During the scramble Simson (Town) was injured and had to be assisted off the ground. Country kept up the pressure, time being called with play in Town's twentyfive and the score, Country 3, Town .1. Mr. Purvis was an efficient Teferee. JUNIORS. . ' TOWN" v. COUNTRY. In the Town v. Country game played at Karori last Saturday, Hutt were

Mr Whytc was the referee. THIRDS. Fleet, Johnston and Penhall repre sent I'd Hutt in the Third Grade Town v. Country, game. When time was' called the scores were even—3 all. It was then decided to play on until one side scored. Town wer-e successful, the •game ending Town; 4, Country 3. ; LAJ3IES. The local Ladies' Junior A Team defeated Hospital by default last Saturday thereby winning the Junior A" Championship. Ther ladies won the Senior A Championship also. NOTES; The, Senior B (A Team) and Senior "B (B Team) will "meet on', the Hutt Recreation Ground next Saturday. On Saturday week a Hutt Field Day will be.£aelcl, all teams from the ladies' and men's clttbs competing. It is proposed to hold a social after j the games on the 13th inst.
