is a terrible predicament, tOora, and I hardly know what to say. One solution might be for you to suggest a fancy dress dance and go as a baboon, thus\proving to him how charming a monkey can really be when he likes. Alternatively, there is always the direct method of appeal, by tolling him frankly of your failing, and trusting to his love to overcome it. Or you plight yourself make a real effort foT love's sake and •take to spina«h. •
