GREAT CANADIAN AIR SCHEME

PSYCHOLOGICAL EFFECT ON GERMANY 30,000 TRAINED MEN ANNUALLY By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright Received Monday, 10.50 p.m. OTTAWA, Oct. 15. In the Canadian air training scheme it is expected the participating Governments will pay Canada for the training of the airmen. It is hoped the scheme will be in operation within a month. The peak output will be from 25,000 to 30,000 pilots, observers, airgunners and radiomen annually. Already the scheme has had a tremendous psychological effect on the Germans, who visualise the prospect of the German forces weakening and the British continually being strengthened. Australian, Canadian and New Zealand airmen are the world’s best fighters and will like to get into their own squadrons.
