DUCHESS OF KENT’S WARDROBE
The wardrobe which the Duchess of Kent will take to Australia will bo kept as great a secret as the one the Queen took to Canada and the United States. The Queen's American wardrobe was guarded like the Crown jewels. A close friend of the Duchess that the Duchess intends to arrange with loading London and Paris fashion houses to supply all her requirements in Australia. Completion of her wardrobe will be the last matter to be finalised before her departure from London. No selections will be made until the release of the autumn fashions. A friend states: “The Duchess seldom talks about her clothes. In this , c ase, she would certainly not breathe ! : word about any garment until she actually wears it.” The Duchess’s wardrobe will be the largest ever taken to Australia.
