DOMINION BASKETBALL TEAM. BE VISION or BULBS BEING CONSIDERED .(By Telegraph-Press Assn.--C spy rigkty Received Wednesday, 9.30 p.m. MELBOURNE, Aug. 16. The Basketball Conference appointed Miss E. Hull, president of the Australian Association, as chairman and Mrs. T. Booney (New South Wales), Miss M. Hargreave (South Australia) and l Mrs. H. D. Muir and Miss M. E. Armstrong (New Zealand) as a sub-com-mittee on rules. Australian officials are in favour of the introduction of the New Zealand personal contact jrule and also of the ■elimination of the centre bounce. To-day’s games resulted;— New South Wales defeated Tasmania, 20—15. Victoria defeated Queensland, 53 9. South Australia defeated New Zealand, 47 —14. Showers kept the grass greasy and the New Zealanders found it difficult to keep a footing. They were handicapped by the personal contact allowed under the Australian rules. South Australia’s shooting was accurate. The New Zealand team waa: M. Tangye, E. Noame, M. Howe, 'M. Martin, M. Matangi, J. Mitchell and R. Butcher.
