HUGHES ARRIVES AT MOSCOW.
AVERAGED 209.4 MILES PER HOUR

The aviator Hughes left for Moscow at 2.14 a.m. Ho had sevoraly damaged a landing wheel taking off, and the French officials wirelessed warning him to take precautions when landing. A later message says Hughes landed at Moscow at 9.16 (British Standard Time). He wirelessed Paris after taking off that he ascertained that the lauding wheel was in its normal position. He flew most of the distance blind at 16,000 feet, mostly’ at 185 miles an hour, using oxygen. He averaged 209.4 miles an hour.
HUGHES TAKES THIRD HOP Received Wednesday, 1 a.m. MOSCOW, July 12. Hughes left for Omsk at 11.45 B.S.T. The North Pole fliers Groraoff and Baidukoff and M. Yumasheff, the Soviet Ambassador to Washington who is on leave, were among those who welcomed Hughes. Baidukoff said: ‘l’ll see you in America," which is interpreted to mean that he is contemplating another transpolar flight. PASSED OVER KAZAN. (Received This Day. 9.45 a.m.) MOSCOW, July 12. The airman Hughes has passed over Kazan.
