Gangsters raided the Jewish .settlement of Givatada, killing two and Wounding three. An. encounter with malcontents, between Haifa and Nazareth, resulted in a Jewish constable being killed and two wounded. A British ■ officer was slightly wounded and a soldier seriously injured. Curfew was imposed in Nazareth after two bombs had been thrown at a Jewish bus. Telephone communication has been stopped owing to widespread wireeutting.
