He was joined by Aurora’s Love seven furlongs from home but ho led again till the concluding stages where Courtyard, always handy, wore them down ami won com fortabiy.

■Sweet Rose made the early running but Enge took charge at the home turn and was clear into the straight where Mompere came through on the inner and won nicely from the rank outsider, Liane.
