SCOUT NOTES.

The weekly parade of the Kia Maia list Levin Boy Scout Troop was held in the Whakataue rooms on Thursday last. After inspection and roll call, Mr. E. S. Allen again rendered invaluable service to the several boys who are keener than others to learn Morse. The remaining boys were given practice in Tenderfoot and Second-class work, after which an exciting game of "hand ball” was played. The Kea Patrol was successful in winning the silver cup for inspection, while the Wcka patrol was presented with woggles for the best behaved patrol. P.L. C. Mulcahy, P.S.’s S. Ransom and K. Burling are to be congratulated on having won a silver woggle presented by the former Scoutmaster, Mr. R. E. Shaw, for good attendance at Court of Honour tor the last three months. This woggle will be contested for every three months. No doubt, boys, many of you will be anxious, to gain proficiency badges, so, for your benefit, the required tests for one of the badges will appear here each week.
