WEDDING BELLS.
HOUUHAN—LAEKtN. The marriage took place recently at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Otaki, of Vera May, youngest daughter of Mrs. O. Larsen, of Otaki, and the late Mr. P. Larkin, to John Coleman, twin son of Mr. and Mrs. M. Houlihan, of Manakau. The Rev. Father Buckley officiated. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her step-father. Ms O. Larsen, wore a trained gown of ivory satin armure. A tulle veil falling from a top-knot of orange blossoms formed a second train. She carried a bouquet of white roses and camellias and maidenhair fern. The two bridesmaids, Miss Joan Williams and Miss Irene Mercer, were frocked in pink and blue liorul respectively. The tulle veils worn over their faces were held in place by top-knots of flowers. They carried bouquets of pink roses and carnations.
The best man was Mr. James Houlihan, of Levin, twin brother of the bridegroom, and the groomsman was Mr Cyril Simpson, of Wellington, brother-in-law of the bride.
As the bride left the church, she was presented with a silver horse-shoe by Master James McDonald, of Wellington, nephew of the bridegroom. The reception was held at the residence of the bride’s parents. When Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Houlihan left bv train for the north, the latter wore a wine ensemble.
