UNION AIRWAYS’ RECORD.
A SUCCESSFUL YEAR {By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Last Night. The first twelve months’ operation of the Union Airways service between Wellington' and Auckland was completed on Saturday, 8863 passengers being carried- on 10GS through trips, while short-distance passengers numbered 15,304.
Mails carried totalled 52,6911b5;, and freight about five tons. The miles flown were 365,592, just over 1000 daily. The hours flown were 2806,.< Timetable trips were 1077, of which 99.81 were flown and 99,16 completed. Two more Lockheed ElectraS have been ordered.
