OPENING DAY TO-MORROW. The Wanganui Jockey Club’s meeting to be held to-morrow and Saturday has drawn good fields for the opening day and with the Manawatu, Eoxton and Otaki fixtures following at vals, the form disclosed will be of particular interest locally. To-morrow’s hack races are well filled and bear a very open aspect, while the rest of the programme has drawn even fields. A single pool totalisator will operate and the following are expected to claim attention in their respective engagements. Purua Hurdles: Begorrah, Even Money. Maiden Handicap: Cometarium, Trilitha.
