CROQUET NOTES.
The Levin Croquet Club iharked' the closing of its lawns for this season with an afternoon function recently, a large number of members gathering for the occasion.
Afternoon tea was served and the Mayoress (Mrs. P. W. Goldsmith) presented the trophies won during the season, these being as follows: Kirk cup, Mrs. Palmer; runner-up, Mrs. Pine. All day tournament, Mesdames Powell and A. Mudgway. Brown buttons, Mesdames Palmer and A. Mudgway. Worsf#ld badges, Mesdames Dempsey and A. Mudgway. The Sherwood cup was won for the third year by the Shannon Club,
