WATER LEAVING WHIROKINO ROAD.
A rapid change in the level of the flood water on the Whirokino road, south of Foxton,. was disclosed in a report issued by the Automobile Association (Wellington) last evening. Heavy vehicles were able to negotiate the road in safety, although there was 14 inches on the road.
Further improvement was expected during the night and it was anticipated that by this morning light cars would be able to use the road.
