RIOTING IN INDIA.
CLASH OF RELIGIONS (By Telegraph-Press Assn.-Copyright) Received Friday, 7 p.m. BOMBAY, March 17. Sporadic rioting in connection with the coincidence of the Hindu holy festival with moharrum, which always excites Hindu and Mussulman sectarianism, is reported in all parts of India. The total killed since Sunday is 12 and the injured number 2bu. HOLY MEN ROASTED ALIVE Received Friday, 10 p.m. NAHAN (Junjab), March 18. Kirti villagers having refused alms to five Sadhus (holy men) making a pilgrimage to Hurdwar were threatened with black magic, which was followed by the mysterious burning of 20 houses while the inmates were asleep. The inmates were incinerated and the villagers retaliated in kind by roasting the sadhus alive.
