The depression whljch on Thurs'day was located off the east coast of the North Island was centred yesterday north of Chatham Island, and has deepened considerably. An anticyclone has been approaching from the west, and should shortly envelope the- Dominion.. The forecast is for moderate to strong southerly winds, reaching gale force in places, but decreasing shortly. Weather still changeable with passing showers, hut improving. Temperatures cold.
