QUEEN CARNIVAL NEWS.

SPORTS FIXTURE POSTPONED. DANCE AND EUCHRE TO-NIGHT. On account of the bleak weather conditions which set in last night and continued throughout to-day, the committee sponsoring the sports carnival, to have been held this afternoon on the Levin Domain, were reluctantly compelled to abandon-the fixture; Nevertheless, the dance is being held to-night in the Regent ball-room .and this should prove a, popular function. Complete arrangements have been made and this will ensure its success.

A' euchre tournament for Queen Margaret is being conducted by the Levin Fire Brigade in a cosy room at the fire station to-night. Good prizes are offered and play commences at S p.m. The leading twenty-six entrants in the baby photographic competition, an effort on behalf of the sports candidate, will appear on the screen at the Regent Theatre to-night. The programme is an attractive double feature ,and one of the pictures, “Re-union,” stars the Dionne Quintuplets. Votes are obtainable in the lobby prior to the session and at the interval.
