MINISTERS ON TOUR.
(By Telegrapc—Press Association.) TAUEANGA, March 17.
Hon. E. Semple, Minister of Publie Works, left here yesterday for Ruatoki, where he was met by Hon. F. Langstone, Minister of Lands. Both Ministers were welcomed by the Maoris, who submitted various requests, th'j principal one being for the construction of a bridge across the Whakatane river. Mr. Semple agreed to the construction of the bridge at a site opposite the township at a cost of £7OOO, which would be borne by the Government.
