WAIRARAPA "MEETING. LEVIN RIFLEMEN SCORE. (By Telegraph —Press Association.) MABTERTON, Last Night. VV. H. West (Blenheim) with’ 198 won the championship grand aggregate at the Wairarapa Rifle Association T meeting at Papawai to-day and with it the Bid will Memorial Challenge Beit and Challenge Shield. R. J. King, the veteran Masterton shot, -was runner-up one point behind and H. Kopperl (Oamaru) 196 third. The B grade aggregate and Walden Challenge Cup were secured by S, Lumsden (Levin) 198, J. A. Munro (Mataura) and A. R. Tantrum (Levin) 195 being second. West won the Bidwill match, 10 shots at 300yds., with a possible 50. H. Koppert (Oamaru) 49 was sec'"'"' and A. Wohlers (Victoria) and P. Berry (Tararua) 49 were third. F. F. Palmer (Marsden) 49 won the B grades, Lumsden (Levin) 49 Oeing second and J. R. Keogham (Westport) 48 third.
In the Buchanan match, seven shots, 500yds., five competitors scored possibles, T. Orr (Greytown), C. J. Nix (Featherston), R. J. King (Opaki), C. R. Catley (Levin), W. McChesney (Invercargill) 35. Six were also equal for the B' grade: W. J. Manser (Tararua), W. Perkins (Westport), Jim McKenzie (Opaki), J. A. Munro (Mataura), E. R. Whiteman (Kaiparoro) and J. Johnson (Featherston), all with possibles 35. The Wellington match, seven shots at 600yds., was divided between S. Lumsden (Levin), J. ' Whiteman (Opaki) and D. F. Donald (Opaki) w 7 ho all scored possibles 35. A. R. Tantrum (Levin) won the B grade with 34, J. R. Keogham (Westport) being second and S. C. Wells (Alexandra), both 34, third. F. J. Soler (Wanganui) secured the Wairarapa match, ten shots at SOOycts., with a possible 50, J. S. Munro (Mataura), R. Ingley (Greytown) and E. Hill (Auckland) being equal third with 49.
L. J. Segvertson (Tararua) won the B grade with 48. Featherston and Auckland City were equal in the teams match with scores of 262.
The midfield aggregate went to T. Orr (Grey town) 117. In the Dominion match, seven shots, 900yds., W. H. Masefield (Blenheim) and D. S. McKenzie (OpaM) secure;) possible 35, W. H. West (Blenheim) being third 34. J. Johnston (Featherston) 34 won the B grade. ~ The conditions for the meeting were fairly good except for showers during the firing of the 800yds. match.
