(By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. There has been a rapid fall of pressure to the east, while an intense anticyclone which has been centred for some days over Tasmania, has extended eastward across the Tasman Sea. The forecast is for moderate to strong southerly winds reaching gale force at times. Weather cold and changeable with passing showers in many places, but improving. Seas rough.
