PERSONAL.
The death occurred at Nelson yesterday afternon with unexpected suddenness at the residence of his son, Captain Campbell, of Colonel G. P. C. Campbell, Controller and Auditor-General. He was on a business tour of the South Island and .arrived at Nelson on Thursday from Westport. He was visiting’ his sou, Captain Campbell, of Stoke, Nelson, and on Tuesday he paid a visit to Motueka partly on business and partly to visit the locality of his birth. He was to have gone to Blenheim to-day. He was apparently in perfect health, but yesterday afternoon was taken suddenly ill and passed peacefully away.
