HOROWHENUA TROUNCED. MAKAWATU’S GBBAI WIN. The first of the annual matches between the Rugby teams of Manawatu and irlorovvhenua was played at Palmerston North yesterday, and it resulted in a runaway victory for Manawatu, the final score being 44 points to nil. Horowhenua played pluckily in an endeavour to stem the tide which set in dead against them shortly after the game commenced hut, outclassed in every department, they were never really in the hunt, Manawatu dominating the game from start to finish.
