The air service between Dunedin and Palmerston North conducted l»y Union Airways has now been in operation tor approximately six months and during that period the company 's machines have Mown a total distance or rni,o(i;i miles. The planes have been ni me air tor 11507 hours and carried 2547 passengers representing 636,805 passenger miles. In all 503 passengers have left Dunedin and 490 have been brought to the city. Of 33(5 scheduled trips only two have, been missed. The service carried 2027 lbs. of freight and 8806 lbs of mail matter representing 247 ton miles of freight and 1176 ton miles of mail. The percentage of regularity (working om on the basis of performance of planes in completing their flights on time) is 99.4.
