CONSTABLE’S WIFE BLOWN TO PIECES.
DREADFUL BOMB OUTRAGE AT GEELONG (By Telegraph-Press Assn.-Copyright) Received Monday, 7 p.m. MELBOURNE, July 13. When a bomb was thrown through the window of Constable Milne’s home in Geelong at 3 , o’clock this morning, Mrs. Maine was blown to pieces and her husband seriously hurt. The front j of the hour- was wrecked. Two children, who were asleep in a back room, luckily escaped. Constable Milne, who was formerly a well-known member of the Criminal Investigation Branch, was transferred to Geelong some time ago. He had previously been threatened by underworld enemies.
