AUSTRALIAN RUGBY TOURISTS SELECTED.
MAJORITY FROM NEW SOUTH WALES. (By Telegraph-Press Assn.-Copyright Received Monday. 11.50 p.ni. SYDNEY, July 13. The following have been chosen as the Australian Rugby Union team to tour New Zealand and, where not otherwise indicated, players are from New South Wales:— Full-back, K. P. Storey; wing threequarters, A. D. McLean (Queensland), J. D. Kelahcr, R. W. Dorr (Victoria); centre three-quarters, W. McLaughlin, E. S. Hayes (Queensland), R, Rankin, B. C. Egan; five-eighths, L. S. Lewis (Queensland), J. D. Hammon (Victoria); halves, E. Gibbons, V. S. Richards; forwards, O. L. Bridle (Victoria), A. J. Hodgson, K. ,S. Window, R. L. Kelly, T. P. Pauling, W. G. White, K. M. Ramsay, F. E. Hutchinson, J. H. Malone, E. J. Walden, W. H. Cerutti, A. H. Stone, E. T. Bonis (Queensland). As to be expected in consequence of the victories of New South Wales in all the recent inter-State games, the majority of the players emanate from that State. Queensland has four representatives and Victoria three. Hayes is captain and Walden \ ice captain. Only seven of the Waratahs who loured South Africa in 1933 have been included in the team. Five men, Egan, Pauling, Window, Hutchinson and Stone played inter-State football for the first time this year. All are youthful play ers. Pauling is a son of the late T. G. Pauling, a former New Zealand footballer, who subsequently played for Australia.
The manager of the team will be Mr E. G. Shaw, who was in charge ot the 1927-2 S Waratahs touring the Old Country and also official representative of the New South Wales Union attached to all recent New Zealand teams which have visited Australia.
