NOT ANXIOUS TO FIGHT.
DISAPPOINTING BOUT IN INVEECARGILL
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) INVERCARGILL, Last Night.
Making his first appearance in New Zealand, Claude Nichol (12.(i), of Australia, outpointed Roy de Gans (12.2), the American negro, in a 1(5-round boxing contest this evening. The Civic Theatre was tilled to overflowing. It was a disappointing bout and several times the pair were warned to fight. De Gans was the aggressor most of the time and to some observers at the ringside, appeared to have a lead on points.
