CLEARING SALE.
GOOD PRICES FOR DAIRY STOCK. The property of Mr. T. Blcakley, Ihakara, who is leaving the district to take up farming activities in Waikato, Avas on Wednesday the scene of a most successful clearing sale, there being a large attendance of buyers. The herd of over 70 Jersey ami Jersey-cross cows, coming forward in good condition, presented an attractive proposition to the buyers, and sold readily under keen competition.. A total clearance was effected under the hammer, ami prices realised were Avell up to full late rates. The top price for best duly and August ealvers was £ll. while throughout the sale an average realisation of £G 12s (5d was maintained. Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., quote the following prices:— Dairy stock: Best July ami August ealvers, £S 10s to £11; later culvers, £5 to £S; empty cows in milk, £3 to £1 15s; yearling heifers, £2 15s; 2-year bulls. £4 15s to £5. Pigs: Sows to farrow, £-1 to, £5. Hay, implements and sundry other lines brought ruling rates.
