PERSONAL.
Because of the pressure of Ministerial work, the Minister of Labour, lion. 11. T. Armstrong, has decided to resign from the Lyttelton Harbour Board, of which he has been a member since 1921.
The appointment of Mr. S. T. Dibble .as secretary of the organisation has been announced by the provisional Dominion executive of the New Zealand National Party. Mr. Dibble, who is at present organising for the Central Military Command, had a distinguished war record, serving with the 2nd Battalion of the Wellington Regiment, N.Z.E.F., and winning a Distinguished Conduct Medal and a Military Medal. Mr. Dibble’s appointment will be subject to confirmation by the new executive when elected in the near future.
