HOCKEY.
RAHUI DEFEAT LEVIN. The match between the ladies of the Levin and Rahui Clubs at Otaki on Wednesday was not of an interesting nature, play, due to a heavy ground, being on the slow side, Vihile vim was lacking. Play, generally, was in favour of Rahui, who won, 4—o. The scorers were Miss Budge (3) and Miss Rengi (1). The goals were the outcome of good play. Messrs Brandt and Shepherd proved capable referees. .
Mrs Seal will be unable to act as chaperone to the women’s hockey team which visits Waitarara, therefore Mrs H. Jacob will take her place. ROVERS DEFEAT TE HORO. Owing to the difficulty which the southern clubs are experiencing in fielding full teams, the match between Rovers “A” and Te Horo, which was played on the Levin Domain yesterday, took the form of a seven-aside game in which spells of twenty minutes each way were played. The result was finally a win for the local team by four goals to two, goals being secured for Rovers by Warren, Hesp (2), and Henderson. For the visitors Fielding and Davidson were the scorers.
