UMBRELLA HINTS.
Don’t stand your umbrella point downwards, or the frame will rust and the silk rot. But don’t leave it wide open to dry either, or the silk will stretch and be loose and baggy when shut. Instead, shake the wet umbrella free from water, and then stand it half-open on the handle. When an umbrella is looking shabby, paint it over with cold tea, for this takes away any rusty look it may have.
