CONDITION FOLLOWING AEROPLANE ACCIDENT.

Hughes, who was injured in a plane accident yesterday, is satisfactory. “If I had been a betting man I would cheerfully have given odds at 50 to one against our getting down safely,” ne observed in an interview to-day. Mr. Hughes, who is now 71, insisted on eating a three-course meal and reading a newspaper before allowing a doctor to attend to his fractured collarbone.
