LAST MATCH OF INDIAN TOUR.

MORE TROUBLE AMONG INDIAN PLAYERS

(By Telegraph-Press Assn.--Copyrijjlit) Received Thursday, 9.50 p.m. MADRAS, Feb. G. Tarrant's Australian eleven began the last four-day match to-day against an India eleven at Madras in beautiful sunny weather, on a turf wicket the lasting qualities of which are doubtful. The Board of Control permitted Tarrant to take in three local players, but he decided to field an all-Australian side. Wazirali won the toss and batted first. There is great feeling all over the country over the side-tracking of four leading players including C. K. Nayudu. Scores:— INDIA First Innings Bose, c Ryder, b Leather 4 Mushtaqali, run out 43 Amarnath, not out 30 Amarsingh, not out 45 Extras 4 Total for two wickets 126 Later. All India are out for 189.

Appeal for New lbw Rule

Heeeivcd Thursday, 7 p.m. LONDON, Feb. 5.

Sir Stanley Jackson, at the annual meeting of the Yorkshire Cricket Club, appealed for the general adop. jii of the leg-before experiment. He said it may be contended there was a difference between county grounds and iirstclass umpires and natural wickets and ''natural" umpires in the lower grades. Admittedly the new rule would increase the difficulties of the latter,, but he did not think its adoption would spoil the game.

It will be observed that 6WP (435), SCL (411), TNT (400), 4RK (330), 3UZ (323), SDN (313), 380 (309), 2CA (256), TLA (2T3), 2SM (236), 2XN (224), 4BH (21T), TUV (205), 2AY (203), etc., will not change, and that 6ML, 2WG, 2KO and 2WL will move half a channel, about one metre, upwards.
