SMITHFIELD STRIKE.
BUTCHERS COLLECTING OWN SUPPLIES. STRIKERS NOT INTERFERING. (By Telegraph-Press Assn.-Copyright) (Received This Day, 9.55 a m.) LONDON, February 5. Arrangements have been made to transfer meat from coldstores and docks to suburban depot markets. Many butchers have sent their own men and vans to collect supplies from Smith'field. The strikers did uot attempt to interfere, but good-humoured-ly Joked at the amateur handling of carcases.
